The bright lights of Hollywood shine down on many budding diet trends, including the Renee Zellweger Diet, or the Renee Zellweger Seaweed Diet. It is said that the camera is unforgiving and often times actors and actresses feel the pressure to maintain the perceived “perfect” look, keeping close eyes on their diets and their physique. Add to this the fact that Hollywood often calls on its stars to alter their physiques for specific movie roles and it is clear that Hollywood stars like Renee Zellweger are constantly looking for an edge to make their life of diet exercise a little more manageable. According to Renee Zellweger, her magic bullet is seaweed.
The key ingredient in Renee Zellweger’s Diet is seaweed, and for the most part she follows a form of the macrobiotic diet. In addition to the seaweed which insiders say she munches on all day, she has also excluded all dairy from her diet, even to the exclusion of toothpaste that contains dairy in it. Some may call this extreme, but it is shown that dairy can cause bloat, and everyone seems to have a unique tolerance to milk and dairy. Beyond this, the bulk of her diet appears to be fish, vegetables, and rice.
While some of the reported health benefits of seaweed remain speculative, there is no question that several varieties of seaweed provide a unique combination of vitamins and minerals not found elsewhere. Among the lengthy list of natural ingredients, seaweed contains calcium, iodine, iron, and some more uncommon micronutrients such as vanadium. While vanadium is thought to play a very small role in mammalian biology (including humans), it is unanimously agreed to be not very well understood.
In terms of use as a dietary supplement it is believed that vanadium in concert with other compounds can be used to increase insulin sensitivity in individuals with Type II Diabetes. Though the exact nature of seaweed’s fat burning capabilities is not fully documented, it is rich in vitamins, minerals, and fiber while being low-fat. Some varieties of seaweed reportedly provide up to 10 times the calcium as milk or 4 times the iron as spinach.
The fact that the Renee Zellweger Seaweed Diet emulates the dietary traditions of Japan and the South Pacific should not be that surprising. These types of diets are low in saturated fats, typically high in essential fatty acids, and have a healthy dose of dietary fiber. Whether or not Renee Zellweger is too skinny or is too obsessed with diet is a determination best left to her or the paparazzi. It is known that Renee Zellweger has a second home in the gym, and between the fitness and Renee Zellweger’s Diet of fish, vegetables, rice, and seaweed it’s clear that she has found a diet that keeps her slender.
